SecureMail
- SSL/TLS Encrypted Email
|
What
is SecureMail?
- SecureMail
works in an email
client (Outlook, Windows
Mail)
or with WebMail.
- SecureMail
is our implementation of Encrypted
email.
- SecureMail encrypts your email transfers to include your passwords from our server to your email client and from your email client to our servers.
- 256
bit SSL/TLS encryption.
- SecureMail
secures your email information in the
same way Secure websites protect your
information.
- Hackers
on your Internet line or ours cannot
crack your emails.
- Note:
We already send SSL encrypted email to
other email servers if they are set up
to accept.
Securemail encrypts the rest of the
transmission path.

SecureMail
in WebMail / SurgeWeb
You
can use SecureMail through WebMail or
SurgeWeb. It's easy.
Instead
of using http://mail.yourdomainname.com or
http://mail.yourdomainname.com/SurgeWeb,
use:
For
WebMail, use https://surge.jtmweb.com
For SurgeWeb use https://surge.jtmweb.com/SurgeWeb.
Note the's".
This tells your browser to connect
to a secure server.
When
you get to this page, you will notice that
a Security Lock (image below)
has been added to the
Address Bar of your Browser. This
indicates that you are connected to a SSL
Secure server.
When
you log in, use your complete email
address for your Username. That's it, you're using SecureMail through WebMail/SurgeWeb for 256 bit security.
You can still use the old way of logging into WebMail/SurgeWeb, you just won't have 256 bit security on the connection.
